What people ask us most.
Do I need an Animam account?
Yes — it takes under a minute to set up. The API key and slug you find there are exactly what you paste into the plugin.
Does my data stay with me?
Your published content is encrypted and synced to your Animam tenant to feed the chatbot’s knowledge base. You can wipe it in one click from the plugin (“Disable MCP” + delete the tenant). No PII is ever logged on the WordPress side.
Which AI model runs behind the scenes?
Claude Haiku 4.5 by default, with a switch to Haiku for cheaper runs or GPT-5 if you really want it. Everything is configurable from your Animam dashboard — no plugin changes needed.
Compatible with WooCommerce, Elementor, RankMath?
Yes. The plugin syncs every public content type (posts, pages, products, events, etc.) — you pick which ones in settings. Admin chat acts strictly within the WordPress capabilities of the logged-in user, so site permissions stay intact.
How is the admin chat secured?
Three layers: (1) HMAC tunnel between WordPress and api.animam.ai, (2) short-lived JWT (15 min) identifying the current admin on every request, (3) capability check on the WordPress side before each action. Every tool call is written to a non-editable audit log.
What happens if I cancel?
The widget shuts off, the admin chat too. Your content stays inside WordPress, and your existing form entries are untouched. You uninstall the plugin cleanly from the Plugins screen — no leftover tables.
